Rule Change
proposals will be voted on by the Board of GHHJA on Monday, December 10th.
at a closed GHHJA Board meeting at 6:00 p.m.
There is also another Open
GHHJA meeting on Monday, November 5th to discuss the proposed rule changes for 2008. It will
be held at Denny's at Pinemont and 290 at 7:00. Meeting Open to any GHHJA member!

Section IV. Article 401.2, pg. 15
3 exhibitor required rule - accepted in 2007.
Remove Bold Print: "In accordance with USEF…not 2007considered to have completed the class -"
Add: In order to be recognized for points in hunter divisions, three (3) entrants must complete
two over fence classes including the first over fence class and three (3) entrants must complete
the under saddle class. A division will be recognized for points as long as two (2) performance
classes & the under saddle class are completed.
In order for points to be recognized in the jumper divisions, three (3) entrants must complete
each of the three (3) jumper classes offered at each show. A division will be recognized for
points as long as three (3) performance classes are completed.

Proposal #6. Novice Division.
Change format of Novice Division to include hunter & equitation.
The hunter portion would include at least 2 hunter over fences classes & 1 under saddle.
The equitation portion would include 1 equitation over fences class and 1 equitation on the
flat class. Points would accrue like other hunter & equitation classes for year-end awards.

Article 310. Jumper Divisions; pg 15.
Remove all 4 GHHJA divisions and replace with the following:
1. Pony Jumper. Open to Pony's with GHHJA measurement cards as specified
in Art.212. Ponies must be ridden by a junior rider.
May cross enter into Pony Hunter.
Fences to be 2'3" with spreads no wider than 2'6".
2. Future Jumper. Open to all. Horse/rider combination may not cross
enter into any other jumper, hunter or equitation classes with fences higher
than 2'6". Fences to be 2'6" with spreads no larger than 2'9".
3. Level 0 Jumper. Open to all. Fences to be 2'9" with spreads no wider than 3'.
4. Level 1 Jumper. Open to all. Fences to be 3'0" with spreads no wider than 3'6".
5. Low Children/Adult Jumper. Open to Junior or Adult riders. Horse/rider combination
may not cross enter into any class with fences larger than 3'0". Fences to be 3'0" with
spreads no wider than 3'6".
6. Level 2 Jumper. Open to all. Fences 3'3" with spreads up to 3'9".
7. Children/Adult Jumper. Open to Junior or Adult riders. Fences 3'3"
with spreads no wider than 3'9". Horse/rider combination may not cross enter
into any class with fences larger than 3'3".
8. Level 3 Jumper. Open to all. Fences 3'6" with spreads up to 4'0".
9.. Level 4 Jumper. Open to all. Fences 3'9" with spreads up to 4'3".
10. Junior/Amateur Jumper. Open to junior or adult riders. Horse/rider
combination my not cross enter into any class with fences higher than 3'9".
Fences to be Level 4-5.
11. Level 5 Jumper. Open to all. Fences 4'0" with spreads up to 4'6".
